Here is what happens to the information you give Sleight of Dev, and how to reach the person responsible for it.
Updated 6 October 2026
Who is responsible?
Sleight of Dev is run by James Anthony Christian, known as Jim, from Carrer Casinos 26, 46183 L’Éliana, Valencia, Spain. For questions about your information, or to exercise a privacy right, email jim@sleightof.dev. You can also use hello@sleightof.dev. Read the legal notice for the operator’s details.
What information do we use?
- Enquiries: your name, email address, message, and any business name, timing or budget you choose to provide. The form sends these details to Jim by email.
- Client work and updates: contact details, correspondence, project information, and site measurements relevant to the service. We keep client relationship records in a private CRM and may use Resend to send individual service updates. A client’s report goes only to that client’s chosen address.
- Feedback: your name, project, ratings, written answers, any optional private note, and whether you permitted a quote to be published. The submission is stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database and emailed to Jim. The private note is not published. A quote is published only when you choose the optional permission box; you can withdraw that permission by email.
- Site operation: Cloudflare processes technical request and security information to deliver and protect the site. Both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. The form sends a Turnstile token, and where available your network address, to Cloudflare for verification.
Required form fields are marked. If you do not provide them, we cannot receive and answer that form submission; you can email Jim instead.
Why do we use it?
We answer enquiries and discuss possible work as steps you ask us to take before a contract. We use client records and individual site updates to deliver and explain agreed services. We use feedback to improve that work, and your separate permission if you want us to publish a quote. We protect forms and site traffic against abuse as a legitimate business interest. We keep records where required by law or needed to establish or defend a claim.
These site updates concern work on an existing client’s site. They are not a general marketing newsletter. You can ask Jim to stop them or correct the destination address at any time.
Who handles the information?
Cloudflare hosts the site, checks forms with Turnstile, delivers form emails and stores feedback in D1. Jim’s email provider holds correspondence. The private Frappe CRM holds client relationship notes. Resend handles the individual client update emails and their delivery records. We do not sell form or client information. Provider systems may process data in other countries under their applicable transfer arrangements; ask Jim if you need details for a particular service.
How long do we keep it?
We keep enquiry and client correspondence while we are discussing or delivering work, then only while needed for records, legal obligations or a possible claim. We keep feedback while it is useful to the client relationship and review it when that relationship ends. If you withdraw permission to publish a quote, we remove it from the site and review the related feedback record. Cloudflare keeps technical security data under its own retention schedules. You can ask Jim what is held about you or request deletion where the law allows.
Cookies and site measurement
We do not use advertising cookies or Google Analytics on sleightof.dev. As of 6 October 2026, the live site does not load a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon. Cloudflare may use essential security technology while serving the site and its Turnstile form checks. Turnstile is there to stop automated submissions; it is not used by Sleight of Dev to advertise to you. If we add optional tracking, we will update this notice and provide a choice where required.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw a permission you gave for publishing feedback. Email jim@sleightof.dev; we may need to confirm that the request is yours. You can also complain to the data protection authority that applies to you, including Spain’s AEPD or the UK’s ICO.
